Koro no Daisanpo (Koro's Big Day Out) is a 2002 Japanese animated short film. by Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli is the writer and director. The film is about Koro, a puppy who runs away from his mistress, a little girl named Sawako after she forgets to close the front gate when she leaves to go to school. Koro experiences some adventures around town such as being found by a local cyclist and taken in by a couple with two young daughters and an elderly dog. This family looks after Koro and give him shelter until the next day when he returns to his neighbourhood and is reunited with Sawako. This film was exclusively shown at the Ghibli Museum in Japan.
